What are the causes of cardiac arrest?
The causes of sudden cardiac arrest include hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and dilated cardiomyopathy.
1. Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy: Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy is an inherited disease, usually transmitted as an autosomal dominant trait. Approximately 60% of adult patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy can have specific pathogenic gene mutations detected, while some cases are due to unknown causes of myocardial hypertrophy. After developing the disease, patients may easily suffer from exertional dyspnea, chest tightness, chest pain, and physical fatigue. As the condition worsens, it can lead to sudden cardiac arrest in patients. Under the guidance of doctors, treatment can be carried out through septal myectomy and alcohol septal ablation.
2. Dilated cardiomyopathy: Dilated cardiomyopathy is a type of cardiomyopathy characterized by dilation of the left ventricle or both ventricles accompanied by impaired contractile function. It is related to infections, non-infectious inflammation, poisoning, and endocrine disorders. It can easily lead to nocturnal paroxysmal dyspnea, orthopnea, decreased appetite, and lower limb edema. Severe patients may also experience sudden cardiac arrest. Generally, treatment involves taking furosemide tablets and hydrochlorothiazide tablets under the guidance of doctors.
