What Causes Pain in Both Legs?
Pain in both legs may be caused by overexertion, lumbar disc herniation, osteoarthritis, and other factors.
1. Overexertion: Excessive leg exercise, such as long-distance running or climbing with heavy loads, can lead to excessive lactic acid accumulation and leg pain. When this occurs, you need more rest and can also massage your legs to accelerate blood circulation and relieve pain symptoms.
2. Lumbar Disc Herniation: Due to the compression of spinal nerve roots by herniated discs, it can cause leg pain accompanied by local numbness, swelling, and other symptoms. Disc endoscopy surgery can be used for treatment.
3. Osteoarthritis: It is a more common chronic degenerative joint disease. Patients may experience knee joint swelling and pain. Bone spurs can stimulate surrounding ligaments and joint capsules, causing leg pain accompanied by movement disorders, local swelling, and other symptoms. Treatment can include arthroscopic cleaning, artificial joint replacement, and other methods.
Apart from the above reasons, diseases such as sciatica and rheumatism may also cause leg pain. After falling ill, take more rest, keep the affected area warm, and avoid catching a cold.
