What are the items included in a physical examination?
Physical examination items include those for women and men, specifically determined based on individual physical conditions. Commonly performed items include liver function, blood sugar, kidney function, 4 items of blood lipids, blood routine, urine routine, stool routine, chest X-ray, electrocardiogram, ENT examination, abdominal B-ultrasound, internal medicine examination, male B-ultrasound, female B-ultrasound, and routine gynecological examination for women.
1. Abdominal examination mainly checks for any lesions in the gallbladder, liver, pancreas, spleen, and kidneys. It detects diseases such as fatty liver, liver cirrhosis, hepatolithiasis, and abdominal pain of unknown causes. The examination covers eight major parts, including the liver, intrahepatic bile duct, common bile duct, gallbladder, kidneys, hepatic portal vein, pancreas, spleen, and others.
2. Electrocardiogram examination utilizes graphical recording of potential changes related to heartbeats to determine whether there are abnormalities such as atrial or ventricular hypertrophy, myocardial infarction, arrhythmia, pericarditis, or heart changes caused by systemic diseases.
3. Internal medicine examination includes observing the skin and mucous membranes, lymph nodes, or other aspects such as visual, tactile, percussion, and auscultation of the heart, chest, and abdomen.
4. Blood tests include blood routine, liver function, kidney function, blood sugar, blood lipids, ions, and others.
5. Additionally, based on any abnormalities in the body, some additional tests may be performed. For example, if there is frequent headache, a head CT or MRI can be performed. If there is persistent cough recently, a chest CT can also be performed.
