The recurrence of thyroid cancer within six months can be attributed to factors such as surgical residue, low immune function, radiation exposure, and the use of immunosuppressants. A detailed analysis is necessary based on individual circumstances:

  1. Surgical Residue

    Incomplete tumor resection during thyroid cancer surgery can lead to tumor regrowth, resulting in recurrence within six months. This can be addressed through reoperation to remove the residual tumor.
  2. Low Immune Function

    Normal immune cells have the function of eliminating tumor cells. If a patient has low immunity, they may be unable to clear tumor cells from their body, leading to tumor lesions and potential recurrence within six months. Patients are advised to rest and may use immunomodulators like BCG vaccine or thymosin under medical supervision to enhance their immune function.
  3. Radiation Exposure

    Prolonged exposure to radiation on the front of the neck can cause genetic mutations, leading to carcinogenesis in thyroid follicular epithelium.
