Whats Wrong with the Blisters on My Hands?
According to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), blisters on the hands accompanied by itching symptoms are believed to be caused by excessive damp-heat in the body. Eating a light diet can alleviate the condition. Western medicine believes that conditions such as eczema, dyshidrotic eczema, and hand tinea can also cause blisters on the hands, accompanied by itching symptoms.
TCM believes that small blisters on the hands are closely related to excessive damp-heat in the body, which is accompanied by mild itching. Paying attention to a light diet, avoiding staying up late, and preventing excessive fatigue can alleviate the symptoms.
1. Acute Eczema: Eczema is an allergic skin disease related to mental stress, changes in dietary structure, living environment, and climate changes. This disease can occur in any season and may recur or worsen in winter. When acute eczema appears on the hands, patients will experience obvious itching and develop papulo-vesicular and密集 blistering skin lesions. Secondary infections may lead to pustules and purulent crusts. If properly treated, skin lesions will resolve within 2 to 3 weeks.
2. Subacute Eczema: If acute eczema symptoms decrease but are still accompanied by severe itching, skin papules, and crusting, subacute eczema may occur. At this stage, patients may have a small number of papulovesicles and mild erosion.
3. Chronic Eczema: When acute and subacute eczema反复发作 and are treated for a long time, chronic eczema may develop. The patient's skin becomes particularly rough and pigmented.
If there are millet-sized blisters on the hands during summer, accompanied by pain, itching, and a burning sensation, it may be dyshidrotic eczema, which is related to hot weather, sweating, and sweat retention. Generally, it can heal spontaneously after winter.
When there are small blisters on the hands accompanied by obvious itching, and peeling occurs after the blisters resolve, be vigilant for tinea. This is a disease caused by fungal infection and is highly contagious. It often worsens in hot weather. As the temperature decreases, the condition can alleviate or even heal spontaneously.
