Liquid-based cytology is a technique that uses a liquid-based thin-layer cell detection system to detect cervical cells and perform cytological classification diagnosis. It is currently an advanced cervical cancer cytology examination technology internationally. Compared with traditional cervical scraping Pap smear, it significantly improves the satisfaction of specimens and the detection rate of abnormal cervical cells. Cervical cancer prevention cytology has a 100% detection rate for cervical cancer cells, and can also detect some precancerous lesions and microbial infections such as mold, trichomonas, virus, and chlamydia. Therefore, liquid-based technology is an advanced technology used in women's cervical cancer screening. Liquid-based testing significantly improves the quality of cervical cell sample detection. Routine Pap smears are often affected by factors such as blood, mucus, and inflammation, which often make the samples blurry and have detection errors. In clinical experiments, the number of cervical cell samples tested by liquid-based testing can significantly increase the detection rate of cancerous cells and correspondingly reduce the number of repeated Pap tests required, thereby reducing unnecessary concerns caused by patients being retested.
