Is Prepared Fuzi Toxic?
Prepared Fuzi is toxic, and its toxicity is relatively strong. Prepared Fuzi is a common traditional Chinese medicine. If it is not processed, it cannot be used. This medicine cannot be taken by patients without a doctor's supervision, as improper use can easily lead to poisoning. Even after processing, it still has a certain degree of toxicity, so it must be taken under the guidance of a doctor.
Prepared Fuzi has strong toxic and side effects. It is usually made from aconite. Unprocessed Fuzi is basically unusable, as it can easily cause poisoning. After processing, Fuzi still has a certain level of toxicity and requires long-term boiling. The dosage should not be excessive.
1. Restoring Yang and Rescuing from Collapse: For patients with long-term illnesses, weak constitution, severe vomiting, diarrhea, and excessive sweating, resulting in limb coldness and spontaneous cold sweats (Yang collapse syndrome), it can be used together with dried ginger, such as Sini Tang (Four-Ingredient Decoction). For patients with long-term illnesses and qi deficiency, or excessive bleeding leading to qi and Yang collapse syndrome, it can be used with ginseng, such as Shenfu Tang (Ginseng and Prepared Aconite Decoction). For diseases with unstable Yang deficiency and continuous sweating, it can be used with Astragalus membranaceus, such as Qifu Tang (Astragalus and Prepared Aconite Decoction).
2. Treating Yang Deficiency Syndrome: For diseases caused by kidney Yang deficiency and waning of vital gate fire, such as cold pain in the waist and knees, frequent nocturia, it can be used with cinnamon, such as Shenqi Wan (Kidney Qi Pill).
3. For diseases caused by spleen and kidney Yang deficiency and internal invasion of dampness and cold, such as cold pain in the epigastrium and abdomen, loose stool, it can be used with Codonopsis pilosula and dried ginger, such as Fuzi Lizhong Wan (Prepared Aconite and Codonopsis Pill).
4. For Yin jaundice syndrome caused by insufficient spleen Yang and internal obstruction of dampness and cold, it can be used with Artemisia capillaris and dried ginger, such as Yinchen Sini Tang (Artemisia capillaris and Four-Ingredient Decoction).
