What Are the Indications for Using Jiniyao Plaster?
Jinyao plaster is indicated for the treatment of bi syndrome caused by wind-cold-dampness and blood stagnation blocking the meridians. Symptoms include joint pain, numbness, and limited movement; it is also indicated for cervical and lumbar spine diseases and bone hyperplasia with the above symptoms. This plaster has the functions of dispelling wind and dampness, promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis, clearing meridians and relieving pain.
A course of treatment with Jinyao plaster consists of 4 patches, but this does not guarantee complete recovery after one course as everyone's sensitivity to medication and the course of the disease vary. Therefore, the duration of treatment may differ for different patients with different physical conditions. It is safest to follow the doctor's advice when using this medication.
Additional precautions should be taken. Pregnant women and those with skin ulcers at the affected area should not use this plaster. If a rash appears at the application site, discontinue use of Jinyao plaster and resume use after the rash disappears. Jinyao plaster is made from nineteen traditional Chinese medicinal herbs including Radix Aconiti Lateralis Praeparata, Rhizoma Chuanxiong, Rhizoma et Radix Notopterygii, Caulis Sargentodoxae, Caulis Spatholobi, Oleoresina Boswelliae, Myrrha, Radix Cyathulae, Herba Taxilli, Fructus Chaenomelis, Radix Stephaniae Tetrandrae, Cortex Phellodendri, Rhizoma Dioscoreae Hypoglaucae, Zaoshuang Banna Snake, Scorpio, Corydalis Yanhusuo, Sanguis Draconis, Piper Longum, and Herba Lycopodii.
