Why Cant I Sleep When I Have a Fever?
Insomnia during a fever may be caused by illness, and reasons such as environmental factors and dietary factors cannot be ruled out. Patients are advised to treat the underlying cause.
1. Illness: When a patient has a fever, they may also experience symptoms such as nasal congestion and runny nose, which can increase physical discomfort and lead to difficulty falling asleep. Antipyretic medications such as Ibuprofen Capsules, Paracetamol Tablets, and Xiaoyanxin Capsules can be used for treatment.
2. Environmental Factors: If the patient's environment is relatively hot or noisy, it can also affect sleep. It is recommended to maintain an appropriate indoor temperature to facilitate sleep.
3. Dietary Factors: Drinking excessive amounts of beverages or coffee can easily stimulate the nervous system and cause insomnia. Patients are advised to avoid consuming stimulating foods before bedtime and instead drink a cup of warm milk to promote sleep.
Apart from the above reasons, psychological factors may also be involved. Patients are advised to avoid excessive tension and panic after falling ill and maintain a peaceful mindset.
