"Why Is My Foot Pointing Upwards?"

Update Date: Source: Network
What Causes the Instep to Be Raised Upwards?

It is mainly related to muscle fatigue, soft tissue strain, ankle joint adhesion, and other factors.

  1. Muscle Fatigue: When the muscles on the front side of the calf feel fatigued, it can lead to a decrease in the strength of local muscles, resulting in weakness when hooking the foot upwards. It is necessary to take a break temporarily and avoid excessive exercise. Usually, massages or muscle strength training can be done to improve muscle function.

  2. Soft Tissue Strain: When the soft tissues such as calf muscles, tendons, and ligaments are strained, it can affect some people's motor function, making it difficult for them to hook their feet upwards with strong force. Magneto-thermal therapy can be used for hot compresses and massages.

  3. Ankle Joint Adhesion: Once ankle joint adhesion occurs, it can restrict some people's movements, causing their heels to hook upwards and making them feel weak. For mild adhesion, local hot compresses, acupotomy, and exercise rehabilitation can be selected. For severe adhesion, surgical release can be chosen. It may be related to peroneal nerve injury, fractures, and lumbar disc herniation compressing surrounding nerves. It is recommended to seek medical attention promptly to avoid delaying the condition. However, before receiving effective treatment, do not engage in excessive activities such as running and jumping.
