White foreign bodies in the throat are mainly secretions from the tonsils. Generally speaking, when the tonsils are inflamed, the epithelial cells inside the tonsils fall off and combine with pathogenic microorganisms, easily forming white secretions with obvious unpleasant odors. This condition requires prompt treatment, and anti-inflammatory drugs should be used under the guidance of a doctor.

White foreign bodies in the throat are initially considered to be secretions from the tonsils. The tonsils are the largest lymphatic tissue in the oral and pharyngeal cavity of the human body, with approximately 6 to 20 concave pockets on their surface, also known as tonsillar crypts. When there is inflammation in the tonsils, the detached epithelium, bacteria, and microorganisms in the tonsillar crypts coalesce to form white, cheese-like secretions with unpleasant odors.

Tonsillitis is mostly caused by inflammation or viral infection. Oral administration of anti-inflammatory drugs, antiviral drugs, and heat-clearing drugs can be used for treatment, along with lozenges for relief. If the effect of medication is not significant after 3 to 5 days, it is recommended to go to the hospital for examination and select sensitive drugs for treatment based on the test results, or inject some injections. Avoid spicy and stimulating foods.
