Antibiotics in clinical practice generally refer to anti-inflammatory drugs. For patients with acute hemorrhoid attacks, appropriate use of anti-inflammatory drugs can help relieve pain symptoms. However, for patients with less severe hemorrhoid symptoms, the use of anti-inflammatory drugs is not recommended. Anti-inflammatory drugs are mainly used to treat acute inflammation caused by bacterial infection. For hemorrhoids without bacterial infection, the use of anti-inflammatory drugs is not recommended.
1. Erythromycin tablets: This is a macrolide antibiotic with good antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects. It can improve symptoms such as swelling, pain, and bleeding during hemorrhoid attacks.
2. Norfloxacin tablets: This is a fluoroquinolone antibacterial drug that acts on bacterial DNA gyrase, preventing bacterial DNA synthesis and leading to bacterial death. It can be used to treat hemorrhoids combined with bacterial infection.
3. Ofloxacin tablets: This drug acts on bacterial DNA gyrase, preventing bacterial DNA synthesis and achieving the effect of killing bacteria. It can be used to treat diseases caused by bacterial infections such as Salmonella and Escherichia coli in hemorrhoids.
4. Cefuroxime axetil tablets: This is a second-generation cephalosporin antibiotic that exerts antibacterial effects by inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial cell walls. It can be used to treat hemorrhoids combined with bacterial infection.
For patients with acute hemorrhoid attacks, anti-inflammatory drugs can be taken orally under the guidance of a doctor to relieve local pain symptoms. For patients with more severe symptoms, oral medication may not be effective. In such cases, surgical treatment is recommended, such as stapled hemorrhoidopexy.
For hemorrhoids caused by non-bacterial infections, such as prostatic hyperplasia and rectal pad prolapse, oral anti-inflammatory drugs generally have no significant effect. Warm salt water or potassium permanganate solution baths can be used to improve local blood circulation and alleviate symptoms.
