Is Pain Normal After Scraping? What Should I Do?
After scraping, only mild pain is felt, which is mostly considered normal and does not require treatment. If the pain is particularly severe and lasts for an extended period, it is abnormal and medical attention should be sought promptly.
If only mild pain is felt after scraping, there is no need to worry too much. It is mostly normal and will usually recover spontaneously after two to three days. If the pain after scraping on the back is particularly severe and lasts for an extended period, it is abnormal. It is recommended to seek medical attention promptly for relevant examinations to identify the specific cause and receive targeted treatment.
1. Due to differences in conditions, scraping treatment can result in different colors and morphologies of sha on the treated area. The sha on the skin surface can be bright red, dark red, purple, or dark blue. The morphology of sha can be scattered, dense, or patchy, and in cases of severe dampness, vesicles may be visible on the skin surface. During scraping treatment, there is a distinct feeling of warmth in the local skin area where sha appears.
2. About half an hour after scraping treatment, the sha on the skin surface gradually merges into patches, and the deep lumps gradually disappear, gradually spreading from the deep layers to the surface. After about 12 hours, the surface skin of the lump-like sha gradually turns purple or dark blue. Deep nodular sha resolves slowly, and the surface skin of the nodular sha gradually turns purple or dark blue after about 12 hours.
3. Within 24-48 hours after scraping, the skin surface where sha appears may feel painful when touched, and severe cases may have a slight warmth on the local skin surface. If the scraping technique is too heavy or the scraping time is too long, individuals with weak constitutions may experience short-term fatigue reactions, and severe cases may have low-grade fever within 24 hours, which usually resolves after rest.
4. The sha usually resolves within 5-7 days. The time for the sha to resolve is closely related to the location, color, and depth of the sha.
