Why Am I Always Sneezing During the Late Stages of Pregnancy?
Frequent sneezing in the third trimester of pregnancy is believed to be caused by environmental irritants, upper respiratory infections, allergic rhinitis, etc. It can be treated through general therapy, medication, and other methods. Here are the causes and corresponding treatments:
1. Environmental Irritants: If the body is exposed to dust, bright light, or strong odors, frequent sneezing may occur. Generally, symptoms will disappear spontaneously after staying away from these environmental irritants.
2. Upper Respiratory Infection: Most upper respiratory infections are caused by viruses, accompanied by symptoms such as runny nose and nasal congestion. If symptoms are not severe, medication is generally not recommended. Symptoms can be alleviated through adequate rest and hydration. Some traditional Chinese medicines, such as Shuanghuanglian Oral Liquid, Jinyinhua Capsule, and Nanbanlangen Granules, can be used for treatment.
3. Allergic Rhinitis: If a pregnant woman has allergic rhinitis, she may experience frequent sneezing after exposure to allergens. The nasal cavity can be rinsed with saline to remove allergens as much as possible and stay away from them.
Other possible causes include flu, sinusitis, and nasal polyps. Pregnant women should seek medical attention promptly to identify the cause and receive standardized treatment.
