What Should and Shouldnt Pituitary Cyst Patients Eat?
1. Post-operative diet should be nutritious, light, and easy to digest.
2. To prevent intracranial pressure elevation caused by constipation, ensure smooth bowel movements, provide adequate water, and administer laxatives if necessary.
3. Observe patients for symptoms such as headache, nausea, vomiting, and fever.
4. For bedridden and paralyzed patients, turn them over every two hours to prevent pneumonia and bedsores.
Post-pituitary tumor surgery, the diet should be regular, avoiding overeating and binge eating. Eat on time. The diet should be light, with reduced intake of spicy, fried, greasy, and stimulating foods such as strong liquor. Increase consumption of fruits, vegetables, and fibrous foods. Drink plenty of water and focus on a diet rich in Vitamin A, carotene, and Vitamin B2. Choose foods high in phospholipids, such as egg yolks, fish, shrimp, walnuts, and peanuts. Consciously select more foods that benefit eye health, such as eggs, animal liver and kidney, carrots, spinach, millet, cabbage, tomatoes, cauliflower, broccoli, and goji berries.
