How long does it take for a bone dislocation to heal?
Bone dislocation takes about one month to half a year to heal, depending on the severity of the dislocation and the type of bone dislocation. If it is caused by joint dislocation, it can usually recover in about one month. However, if it is caused by bone fracture, it may take about half a year to fully recover.
The recovery time of bone dislocation is directly related to the type and severity of the dislocation, and there are certain differences. If the joint dislocation is caused by joint dislocation, most of them can be restored to normal anatomical structure through manual reduction, and then suspended or externally fixed with plaster. Normal joint activities can be basically restored in 3-4 weeks. If the bone dislocation is caused by fracture, if the degree of injury is light, the fracture end is slightly dislocated, and the fracture is not located in the joint, most of them are treated by manual reduction and external fixation of plaster on the affected limb. The healing time of fracture generally takes about 3 months, and complete recovery may take 4-6 months.
There are two main treatment methods for bone dislocation: the first is conservative treatment, and the second is surgical treatment. Firstly, manual reduction can be actively performed, and then plaster fixation should be regularly reviewed. If the fracture end is not obviously dislocated and has no effect on function, active conservative treatment can be performed. If conservative treatment is ineffective, active surgical treatment should be performed.
