How to Stimulate the Anal Area to Facilitate Bowel Movement?
Difficulty in passing stool is generally a symptom of constipation, which can occur in anyone. Constipation is a common occurrence that requires timely management. Methods such as massage, glycerin suppositories, glycerin suppository method, and soap strip method can be used to stimulate the anus and facilitate bowel movements.
1. Massage Method: Place your palm downward and flat on the navel, gently pushing and rubbing in a clockwise direction. This can not only accelerate intestinal motility and promote bowel movements, but also aid digestion.
2. Glycerin Suppository Method: Cut open the tip of the glycerin suppository, and smooth out any burrs on the nozzle. Squeeze out a small amount of the liquid to lubricate the nozzle to prevent injuring the anus. Lie on your side and insert the nozzle of the glycerin suppository into your anus. Gently squeeze the plastic capsule to release the liquid into the anus, and then remove the empty shell of the glycerin suppository. Place a clean tissue at the anus to prevent the liquid spilling and staining clothes or bedsheets. Try to wait until you cannot bear it anymore before passing stool, allowing the liquid to fully stimulate intestinal motility and soften the stool for optimal bowel movement results.
3. Soap Strip Method: Wash your hands thoroughly. Open the packaging of the conical soap strip and gently insert it into the anus. Gently press on the anus and wait for a while to allow the soap strip to fully dissolve before passing stool.
4. Glycerin Suppository Method: Clean your hands and shape a soap strip into a conical shape about 3 centimeters long and as thick as a pencil. Wet the soap strip with a little water before gently inserting it into the anus. Similarly, try to let the soap strip stay in the anus for a longer period of time to fully stimulate bowel movements.
