Pressing Pain and Hard Lump on the Right Side of the Navel
Pressing pain on the right side of the navel may be caused by a gastric perforation, cholecystitis, or appendicitis, and requires targeted treatment.
1. Gastric Perforation: If a patient accidentally ingests strong acids or alkalis, it will corrode the gastric mucosa, leading to abdominal pain. It is recommended that patients undergo conservative treatment with fasting and gastric tube decompression.
2. Cholecystitis: Cholecystitis refers to a chemical inflammation of the gallbladder caused by factors such as gallstones, inflammatory edema of the cystic duct, or roundworms, which obstruct the cystic duct, allowing bile to deposit and concentrate, stimulating the gallbladder. It can be secondarily infected by bacteria and is one of the common digestive diseases. The main clinical symptoms are pressing pain on the upper right side of the navel, which may radiate to the right shoulder and back, accompanied by nausea and vomiting. It is recommended to use medications such as Gallbladder Soft Capsule and Gallbladder and Stomach Comfort Capsule under the guidance of a doctor.
3. Appendicitis: It is mainly caused by factors such as obstruction of the appendiceal lumen, bacterial infection, congenital malformations of the appendix, and gastrointestinal dysfunction, which can lead to pressing pain and a lump on the right side of the patient's abdomen. It is recommended that patients undergo auxiliary examinations such as ultrasound, X-ray, CT, and laparoscopy for a definitive diagnosis. Treatments such as laparoscopic appendectomy and abdominal appendectomy can be performed.
In addition to the relatively common causes mentioned above, it may also be caused by colitis and requires targeted treatment. After waking up, adopt a semi-sitting and semi-reclining position to reduce abdominal wall tension and alleviate pain.
