What Are the Symptoms of Baby Developing a Rash?
There are many types of herpes in babies, and each type of herpes can cause discomfort to the baby's skin. The most common herpes are sweat herpes and pustular herpes. Babies with pustular herpes usually have bumps on their skin, accompanied by blisters. After the blisters burst, yellow scabs will form, and the skin may also appear red, itchy, and feverish. It is necessary to apply medication promptly and avoid scratching the affected area with hands.
1. Blister-like Objects
When a newborn develops pustular herpes, the symptoms are relatively obvious. In the early stages of the disease, excessive sweating may occur in the affected area, leading to skin bumps. Additionally, there may be the appearance of blister-like objects.
2. Yellow Scabs
Newborns may develop pustular herpes due to hot weather and viral infections. This can lead to the formation of large pustules on the skin, with a reddened underlying layer. As the disease progresses, yellow scabs may form.
3. Fever
The symptoms of pustular herpes in newborns are quite prominent, often accompanied by fever and loss of appetite. It is advisable to promptly seek medical attention for a thorough examination and appropriate treatment based on the severity of the condition.
4. Skin Bumps and Pustules
The pustules have thin epidermis, varying in size, and are slightly raised compared to the surrounding skin without any red halo. The pustule fluid initially appears yellow and soon turns cloudy. After the large pustules burst, a bright red, moist base can be seen, followed by the formation of a thin yellow scab. After the scab falls off, no trace is left. Mild cases may not present any systemic symptoms, while severe cases are often accompanied by fever, poor feeding, and worsened jaundice.
