Stomach pain can be relieved by massaging the painful area or applying a hot water bag for heat therapy. Hunger can cause stomach pain, and in such cases, one can eat properly and choose some easily digestible food. If stomach pain occurs frequently, it is recommended to consult a doctor promptly for examination and related treatment.
People with stomach diseases should avoid spicy and greasy foods. In addition to eating lightly, the following foods are recommended to help nourish the stomach:
- Millet porridge, which is warm and nourishing to the stomach and rich in nutrients, is the first choice for patients with stomach pain. Adding a little baking soda when cooking millet porridge can enhance its nourishing effect.
- People with stomach pain can eat a few raw peanuts to relieve stomach pain and gastric acid, but only 4-5 peanuts at a time are recommended, as eating too many can hurt the stomach.
- Radish is beneficial for the stomach during winter.
- Milk can be consumed, but not on an empty stomach. It is recommended to eat high-starch foods such as steamed bread or pastries before drinking milk. This method allows milk to stay in the stomach for a longer time, enabling sufficient enzymatic hydrolysis between milk nutrients and gastric juice, resulting in better protein absorption.
- Vegetables such as cabbage, tofu, and carrots are good for the stomach.
