What are the causes of thrombocytopenia in ITP?
Immune thrombocytopenia is a disease caused by the destruction of megakaryocyte platelet-producing receptors in the bone marrow by autoantibodies.
I. Causes
1. Viral infections: Infections such as EB virus and influenza virus may lead to the production of specific IgG and IgM antibodies by the body, which attack platelets and cause thrombocytopenia.
2. Drug factors: Long-term use of anticoagulant drugs such as aspirin enteric-coated tablets and clopidogrel bisulfate tablets, or the use of radiotherapy and chemotherapy methods to treat tumors, may also damage hematopoietic stem cells in the bone marrow, thereby affecting the normal production of platelets.
3. Abnormal immune function: Diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus and rheumatoid arthritis in patients can lead to disorders in the body's immune mechanism, which can also cause some damage to platelets.
II. Symptoms
Most patients have relatively mild clinical manifestations, which may only manifest as skin and mucosal bleeding points or ecchymoses, as well as gingival bleeding and other symptoms. Some patients may also experience symptoms of general discomfort such as fever, chills, and fatigue. It is recommended that patients seek medical attention promptly, complete relevant examinations under the guidance of a doctor, and actively cooperate with the doctor in targeted treatment to avoid delaying the condition. In daily life, attention should be paid to rest, avoid excessive fatigue, and pay attention to dietary health, eating more nutrient-rich foods and fewer spicy, irritating, and greasy foods.
