Why Do My Hands Itch and Develop Blisters in Summer?
There are various reasons for itchy and blistered hands in summer, such as allergic issues and insect bites, which may lead to such symptoms. Of course, a common cause is dyshidrosis, a sweating disorder that is more prone to occur in summer. Once dyshidrosis appears, it can lead to itchy and blistered hands, and timely medical treatment is required. In addition, attention should be paid to skin care.
Most cases of itchy and small blistered hands in summer are caused by dyshidrosis. Also known as sweating disorder rash, dyshidrosis often appears on the hands or feet and presents as small blisters resembling the size of a needle tip. These blisters may also merge with each other, causing them to enlarge continuously. Dyshidrosis often occurs during seasonal transitions, especially in summer.
1. Excessive dampness in the body: Dyshidrosis is closely related to excessive dampness in the body. Excessive dampness can slow down the body's metabolism and reduce its detoxification function.
2. Staying in air-conditioned rooms for long periods during summer provides a better opportunity for dampness to invade. The heavier the dampness, the more dyshidrosis may occur.
3. Bacterial infection of the hands: The hands are constantly exposed to the outside environment and come into contact with various objects. They are also prone to sweating. If proper hand hygiene is not maintained, bacteria can easily grow on the hands, leading to bacterial or fungal infections and ultimately dyshidrosis.
4. Additionally, chemicals such as dish soap may also contribute to dyshidrosis. It is advisable to wear gloves when using such products and to avoid contact with metal, necklaces, or alloy items containing nickel sulfate.
