The duration of bleeding after cesarean delivery can last for about a week, and then this bleeding will gradually turn into a serous-colored discharge, finally turning into white discharge. As everyone's condition differs, the duration of bleeding may vary. If there is persistent bright red blood, attention should be paid, and immediate medical attention should be sought for examination and treatment.
Vaginal bleeding after cesarean delivery is called lochia, which mainly occurs in three stages. Initially, it is bloody lochia, lasting for about 7 days, with a relatively large amount of bleeding and a bright red color. Afterward, it will develop into serous lochia, lasting for about 10 days, and white lochia may last for about 15 to 20 days.
