Does eating grapes cause an increase in body heat or fire?
Eating grapes usually does not cause heatiness. Grapes are not hot-natured fruits. They have a sweet and sour taste and a neutral property. Consuming grapes in moderation can, to a certain extent, clear and reduce heat.

Generally, grapes have the effects of nourishing qi and blood, strengthening muscles and bones, promoting urination, and reducing swelling. They are used for conditions such as qi and blood deficiency, lung deficiency with cough, palpitations and night sweats, rheumatism and pain, gonorrhea, and edema.
Nourishing Qi and Blood: For people with weakness of the limbs, pale complexion, palpitations, and night sweats caused by qi and blood deficiency, consuming grapes appropriately can alleviate these symptoms and enhance physical constitution by nourishing qi and blood.
Strengthening Muscles and Bones: People with soreness and weakness of the waist and knees, osteoporosis, and pain in the waist and legs can consume grapes appropriately to strengthen muscles and bones.
Promoting Urination and Reducing Swelling: The roots, vines, and leaves of grapes have good diuretic, anti-edema, and embryo-quieting effects. They can be used to treat conditions such as nausea and vomiting during pregnancy, edema, and other symptoms.
Grapes can be consumed in many ways, including eating them raw, drying them into raisins, or making wine. Even though grapes do not cause heatiness and can even benefit the body by clearing heat, they should not be consumed excessively to avoid discomfort.
