How to Assess the Quality of Kidney Function?
Generally, renal function can be assessed through renal appearance, urine routine tests, renal function tests, and other examinations.
Renal Appearance: Imaging examinations generally include color Doppler ultrasound, CT. By observing the renal appearance, one can judge the size and appearance of the kidneys, as well as whether there are space-occupying diseases and inflammatory changes.
Routine Urine Tests: Urine routine tests mainly aim to understand whether there are red blood cells, white blood cells, and protein in the urine. In the early stages of kidney disease, some patients may not show obvious symptoms, but early urine routine tests may reveal abnormalities such as hematuria, proteinuria, urine specific gravity, or urine pH value.
Renal Function Tests: Renal function tests mainly include creatinine and urea nitrogen. If the patient's index values increase, it generally indicates renal impairment. Additional tests such as renal biopsy and blood creatinine are also required to ultimately determine the quality of renal function.
It is usually necessary to develop good living habits, including going to bed and waking up early, ensuring sufficient sleep, and avoiding staying up late.
