What Causes Chest Tightness?
Chest tightness can be caused by physiological factors, asthma, pneumonia, and other factors. Appropriate treatment methods need to be selected based on different causes.
Physiological Factors: If you are under long-term mental stress or after physical labor, chest tightness may occur due to oxygen deficiency. This is a normal physiological reaction and can recover spontaneously after a period of rest.
Asthma: Inhaling allergic substances can cause allergies. Allergies can lead to bronchial inflammation and asthma. During an attack, patients may experience chest tightness due to dyspnea, most of which are accompanied by wheezing.
Pneumonia: If the lungs are infected, causing pneumonia, patients may experience chest tightness due to decreased lung function. Most of them also have symptoms such as cough and phlegm. Treatment should be received as soon as possible to avoid affecting normal respiratory function.
Chest tightness can also be caused by factors such as lung cancer and coronary atherosclerotic heart disease. Patients should also undergo further examination to determine the specific cause and receive treatment as soon as possible.
