Recipe 2 for 6-Month-Old: Egg Yolk Porridge

Ingredients:

  • Appropriate amount of rice
  • Broth (or fish broth, vegetable broth)

Instructions:

  1. When cooking rice for adults, place the rice and water in a pot. Use a spoon to dig a hole in the center to allow more water to reach the rice in the center. After cooking, the rice in the center will be softer. Mash an appropriate amount of soft rice into a paste.
  2. Separate an appropriate amount of broth. If using fish broth, be extra careful to remove any fish bones and skim off the oil from the surface.
  3. Combine the broth and rice paste in a small pot and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until it forms a porridge-like consistency. Add a pinch of salt for seasoning. Then, add 1/4 of a mashed hard-boiled egg yolk and stir well. Bring to a boil again before serving in a bowl. Feed the baby when the temperature is suitable.
