How to Deal with Throat Cyst?
If the laryngeal cyst is small, nebulization treatment can be used. However, if the cyst is larger, surgical intervention is required. For individuals with laryngeal cysts, it is advisable to consume a bland diet, drink soothing soup and porridge, and avoid spicy, cold, and other stimulating foods. Warm water should be consumed even during summer. The formation of cysts is associated with factors such as lack of exercise, chronic coughing, and infections.
Management of Laryngeal Cysts
1. For small cysts, it is recommended to maintain a bland diet, avoid spicy and irritating foods, and prevent colds. Nebulization treatment using budesonide suspension may be considered.
2. In cases of large laryngeal cysts, surgical intervention is an option. The cyst in the laryngeal region can be exposed using a laryngeal mirror, and treated with either laser or plasma.
3. It is essential to maintain a bland diet daily, including mung bean porridge, white gourd soup, and pear and sugar soup, which are all lung-nourishing. Cold drinks should be avoided, and warm water should be consumed even during hot weather.
Causes of Laryngeal Cyst Formation
1. Poor detoxification function of the body, possibly due to lack of exercise.
2. Chronic coughing, horn playing, blowing, weightlifting, and other activities that increase pressure within the laryngeal sac, leading to gradual expansion.
3. Narrowing and edema of the opening of the laryngeal sac, which prevents easy escape of air, causing enlargement of the sac and formation of laryngeal pneumatocele.
4. Trauma or infection.
5. Chronic inflammatory stimulation or retention of secretions.
