Acupoints for releasing liver fire include Taichong acupoint and Yanglingquan acupoint.
Taichong acupoint is located in the gap between the big toe and the second toe. When angry or blood pressure rises, touching this acupoint will feel painful. Yanglingquan acupoint is located below the fibula head of the lower leg. This acupoint can be stimulated more often, which can play a good role in releasing liver fire.
1. Neiting acupoint is a ying acupoint of the Foot Yangming Stomach Meridian. Ying acupoint can be said to be the archenemy of heat symptoms and internal heat. If there are discomforts such as bad breath, constipation, sore throat, toothache, abdominal distension, vomiting of acid water, etc., you can press the Neiting acupoint more often. 2. When locating Taichong acupoint, you can adopt a sitting or supine position. Taichong acupoint is located on the dorsum of the foot, between the first and second metatarsal bones. Use your finger to move upward along the gap between the thumb and the second toe until you can feel the artery reflecting on your hand, which is the location of this acupoint.
3. Yanglingquan is an important acupoint of the gallbladder meridian, located below the fibula head of the lower leg. In traditional Chinese medicine, the liver and gallbladder are closely related to emotions. Yanglingquan acupoint must be stimulated more often, like plucking a string, which will produce an electric numbness sensation that travels directly to the bottom of the foot. This is when the effect is best. If this acupoint is frequently plucked, the stagnation of the gallbladder meridian caused by anger and hyperactivity of liver fire will be dissipated.
