"What Causes Chest Tightness and Insomnia?"
Chest tightness and insomnia may be caused by non-pathological factors, but also by pathological factors such as autonomic nerve disorders, menopause syndrome, and heart diseases. If symptoms are severe or persistent, it is recommended to seek medical attention promptly.
Non-pathological Factors
1. Excessive Psychological Pressure: If you are under significant work or life pressure and are mentally overstressed, it may cause the cerebral cortex to remain in an excited state for a long time, leading to symptoms such as palpitations, chest tightness, and difficulty falling asleep.
2. Environmental Factors: Excessively noisy sleep environments or indoor temperatures that are too high or too low can all interfere with normal rest, causing the aforementioned conditions.
Pathological Factors
1. Autonomic Nerve Disorders: This may be related to factors such as genetics, gender, and circadian rhythms. It can manifest as chest tightness, suffocation, palpitations, anxiety, and in some patients, dizziness, blurred vision, insomnia, and forgetfulness.
2. Menopause Syndrome: After entering menopause, a woman's ovarian function gradually declines, and her estrogen levels drop, leading to endocrine imbalances. This can cause symptoms such as hot flashes, night sweats, irritability, mood swings, insomnia, and dreams, which can also manifest as chest tightness and insomnia.
3. Heart Diseases: Conditions like coronary atherosclerotic heart disease and acute myocardial infarction can lead to myocardial ischemia and insufficient oxygen supply during onset, causing symptoms such as precordial pain, dyspnea, palpitations, fatigue, and concurrent insomnia.
Apart from the relatively common causes mentioned above, there are other potential diseases, including lung infections, bronchial asthma, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
