What is AB Negative Rh Blood?
AB Rh negative blood is known as AB panda blood. Panda blood is commonly referred to as Rh negative blood type, and blood types are generally classified into four categories: A, B, O, and AB. Rh negative blood can be further divided into Rh negative A, Rh negative B, Rh negative O, and Rh negative AB. In China, among the Han and other ethnic groups, people with Rh negative blood account for approximately 0.34%.
Human Red Blood Cell Blood Types
Human red blood cell blood types are composed of up to twenty different blood type systems, with ABO and Rh being the two blood type systems most closely related to human blood transfusion. When a person's red blood cells possess a D antigen, they are considered Rh positive and represented as Rh(+). In the absence of the D antigen, they are Rh negative and represented as Rh(-). The distribution of Rh(-) varies greatly among different ethnic groups and is relatively high among Caucasians, accounting for approximately 15%.
