What Should I Do if My Baby Has a Sensitive Stomach?
Due to the developmental stage of an infant's body, their gastrointestinal function is immature, making them prone to gastrointestinal discomfort and other issues. This means that the infant may not absorb nutrients well and may experience developmental delays. So, what should be done if an infant has a weak stomach?

1. Drink More Millet Porridge. Porridge is a nutritious food that can clear heat and pass through the intestines. Since the sprouts and malt of millet contain a large amount of enzymes, millet porridge is a traditional Chinese herbal medicine that can nourish the stomach and aid digestion. Additionally, millet has the effect of preventing nausea and vomiting. Cooking millet porridge daily and consuming millet oil is very beneficial for the stomach.
2. Avoid Cold Food. Since infants have relatively weak immunity, consuming raw and cold food can more easily cause gastrointestinal discomfort. Therefore, food given to infants should be warm, but not too hot to burn their mouths, especially in winter when food like porridge cools down quickly. Feed the baby while it's still hot; otherwise, cold food can easily damage their delicate stomach. Water given to infants should also be as warm as possible.
3. Eat Raw Peanuts. Peanuts have a good effect on nourishing the stomach and can be given to infants as snacks. However, it is best to eat them when waking up or before sleeping to achieve the stomach-nourishing effect.
4. Avoid Overeating. The amount of food for infants should be moderate. Infants should not be allowed to keep eating as it can easily strain their stomachs. For infants, it is generally advisable to feed them until they are about 70% full. Parents need to control food intake to avoid overfeeding.
