Why Does the Skin on My Face Peel?
Patients with peeling skin on their faces usually lack moisture or have naturally dry skin. This condition is particularly prone to occur during seasonal changes. To avoid this phenomenon, it is essential to replenish the skin with sufficient moisture. Daily cleaning and hygiene of the facial skin should be maintained, and drinking plenty of warm water can promote blood circulation and accelerate skin metabolism.
2. Dry skin can be a contributing factor to facial peeling, especially during the winter and spring seasons when the weather is dry.
3. During seasonal changes, the skin is prone to lack moisture. Therefore, it is recommended to replenish the skin with water and focus on skin care, choosing skincare products that are relatively oily. Severely dehydrated facial skin requires a large amount of hydration and timely sun protection. The current skincare products you are using may not be suitable for you. If you have dry skin, it is not advisable to use foaming cleansers.
When the skin on the face peels, it is easier for bacteria and dust to remain in the dead skin and excess keratin. Therefore, we cannot neglect daily skin cleansing, and when the skin is peeling or flaking, we should pay more attention to personal facial cleansing to keep the face fresh and clean.
Due to factors such as temperature and individual skin type, the skin is prone to producing excess keratin and dead skin. Therefore, we should also incorporate exfoliation into our skin cleansing routine, aiming to exfoliate 2-3 times a week. In severe cases of peeling, we can gently remove excess keratin during daily cleansing, but this should not be done long-term. Once the peeling phenomenon has improved, please adjust the frequency of exfoliation accordingly.
After cleansing the facial skin, we can gently apply a warm towel to the face for a compress. This will help relax and open the pores of the skin, allowing the dry skin to absorb more moisture and nutrients. However, it is important not to overdo the compress, with a duration of 1-2 minutes being sufficient.
