Why Do My Eyes Sting?
There are various reasons for eye stinging pain, generally considered to be due to physiological reasons, trichiasis, and inflammation.
1. Physiological Reasons: If the eyes experience simple dryness and stinging pain, the most common reason is eye dryness. When the eyes lack moisture or lubricant, prolonged use of the eyes, especially using mobile phones, can lead to obvious dryness and pain symptoms. It is advisable to use the eyes moderately and perform eye massages to relieve the stinging pain.
2. Trichiasis: If there are only a few trichiasis hairs, they can be considered for removal. If the number is relatively high, surgical correction is recommended.
3. Inflammation: Local inflammation, such as conjunctivitis, keratitis, uveitis, scleritis, and sty, requires early hospital examination and specific treatment based on the underlying cause.
Eye stinging pain can also be caused by other reasons. It is recommended to promptly visit the hospital and actively cooperate with relevant examinations and treatments under the guidance of a doctor to avoid delaying the condition.
