Can Color Doppler Ultrasound Rule Out Pancreatic Diseases?
1. Color Doppler ultrasound cannot rule out pancreatic diseases with smaller occupations due to certain limitations. It requires complementary examinations such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and enhanced upper abdominal CT scans for exclusion.
2. Pancreatic diseases refer to all diseases occurring in the pancreas, mainly including pancreatic traumatic diseases, congenital diseases of the pancreas, and inflammatory diseases of the pancreas. Color Doppler ultrasound is widely used clinically for the examination of multiple systems such as cardiovascular, urinary, reproductive, and subcutaneous lesions. It can also be used for the examination of pancreatic diseases and has certain diagnostic significance. If the pancreatic lesion occupies a smaller area, combined with the presence of intestines and intra-abdominal organs, it is prone to unclear pancreatic imaging. Therefore, there are certain limitations during the examination, and it cannot completely rule out pancreatic diseases.
3. Currently, the diagnosis of pancreatic diseases mainly relies on multiple examinations such as MRI, enhanced upper abdominal CT scans, and amylase in pancreatic fluid and blood. Once diagnosed, active treatment should be initiated. During the recovery period, absolute bed rest is required, with fasting and gastrointestinal decompression measures taken if necessary. At the same time, the quality of life during the illness should be improved.
