Which pure milk is suitable for children to drink?
1. Milk is mainly divided into several categories, including pasteurized milk, shelf-stable milk, fresh raw milk, yogurt, fruit and vegetable milk, etc. Fresh raw milk is more suitable for children, as it contains antibacterial active substances such as lysozyme, which is conducive to digestion. This type of milk does not require heating, is rich in nutrients, and retains some trace physiological active ingredients in milk, which is beneficial to children's development.
2. For example, pasteurized milk, also known as low-temperature sterilization, is produced using only raw cow (or goat) milk as the raw material and undergoes sterilization at a temperature of 62.8-75℃. Pasteurization uses a low temperature that can kill pathogenic bacteria and most harmful microorganisms, but cannot achieve complete sterilization. Therefore, the storage temperature of pasteurized milk needs to be around 4℃, and it is generally found in the refrigerated section of supermarkets with a shelf life of 5 to 8 days.
3. If a child has a calcium deficiency, they can drink more pure milk. If a baby is undernourished, they can also choose whole-fat pure milk. If a baby is prone to indigestion or diarrhea, they can choose skimmed pure milk. The choice of pure milk should be based on individual needs.
