1. Ginger moxibustion involves squeezing or crushing ginger and applying it to the skin to promote blood circulation, dissipate blood stasis, dispel cold, and relieve pain. The application of ginger on the skin may produce a burning sensation, which can be stimulating to the skin. It is recommended that normal individuals use it once every 1-2 weeks, and the specific frequency of use should be determined based on individual physical constitution and tolerance.
2. Fresh ginger is used for ginger moxibustion and is made into ginger paste for application. Compared to other materials such as garlic paste or scallion paste, ginger is less irritating, less likely to cause blisters, convenient for continuous moxibustion, and can be reused. Most importantly, the medicinal properties of ginger are relatively stable, especially effective for all symptoms of deficiency-cold, which is unparalleled compared to other moxibustion methods.
