What Are the Precautions for Vaccination Against Rubella and Measles?
Rubella vaccine generally refers to attenuated live rubella vaccine, and measles vaccine generally refers to attenuated live measles vaccine. The precautions for the above two vaccines are similar. For example, when opening the vaccine bottle and injecting, do not allow the disinfectant to contact the vaccine; after adding sterile water for injection to the vaccine, gently shake it should be able to dissolve immediately; it is not recommended to use during the epidemic season of the disease.
Attenuated live rubella vaccine is suitable for rubella-susceptible individuals over 8 months of age. It should be noted that individuals with severe illnesses, fever, a history of allergies, and pregnant women are prohibited from receiving the attenuated live rubella vaccine.
Precautions for attenuated live rubella vaccine are as follows:

- If the vaccine is not completely dissolved, the vaccine bottle has cracks, the label is unclear, or it is expired, it should not be used.

- Women of reproductive age should avoid pregnancy for at least 3 months after receiving this vaccine.
- Individuals who have received immunoglobulin should wait for more than 1 month before receiving this vaccine.
- As this is an attenuated live vaccine, it is not recommended to use it during the epidemic season of the disease.
Attenuated live measles vaccine is suitable for measles-susceptible individuals over 8 months of age. It is suitable for vaccination throughout the year. After receiving this vaccine, it can stimulate the body to produce immunity against measles virus. It is used to prevent measles.
It should be noted that individuals with severe illnesses, acute or chronic infections, fever, a history of allergies to eggs, and pregnant women are prohibited from receiving the attenuated live measles vaccine.
