What Are the Benefits of Domperidone Oral Suspension?

Domperidone Suspension is a medication used to treat gastrointestinal diseases. It can not only treat gastrointestinal diseases such as indigestion, nausea, and vomiting, but also treat nausea and vomiting symptoms caused by chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

Indications:

1. Indigestion caused by delayed gastric emptying, gastroesophageal reflux, and esophagitis, including upper abdominal fullness, abdominal distension, upper abdominal pain, belching, flatulence, nausea, vomiting, and a burning sensation in the mouth with or without reflux of gastric contents.

2. Nausea and vomiting caused by functional, organic, infectious, dietary, radiation therapy, or chemotherapy. It is a specific indication for nausea and vomiting caused by dopamine receptor agonists (such as levodopa, bromocriptine, etc.) used to treat Parkinson's disease.

Dosage and Administration:

Oral administration. Adults: 3-4 times daily, 10ml (equivalent to 10mg) each time. The dose can be doubled or as prescribed when necessary. Children: 3-4 times daily, 0.3ml (equivalent to 0.3mg) per kg of body weight each time. This product should be taken 15-30 minutes before meals. If taken after meals, absorption may be delayed. The maximum daily dose is 80mg.

Contraindications:

This product is contraindicated in the following situations:

·Known allergy to domperidone or any component of this product.

·When there is a risk of increased gastric motility, such as gastrointestinal bleeding, mechanical obstruction, or perforation.

·Patients with prolactin-secreting pituitary tumors (prolactinomas).

·Concurrent use with ketoconazole oral formulations, erythromycin, or other strong CYP3A4 enzyme inhibitors that may prolong the QTc interval, such as fluconazole, voriconazole, clarithromycin, amiodarone, and telithromycin.
