What complications can uterine fluid accumulation easily lead to?
1. Uterine fluid accumulation can lead to infertility: If uterine fluid accumulation is not properly treated, it can cause greater harm, easily leading to pelvic adhesion, tubal obstruction, and other issues, resulting in infertility. Symptoms such as lower abdominal pain, low back and sacral pain, increased vaginal discharge, tenderness in the lower abdomen during gynecological examination, and striped thickening may indicate chronic pelvic inflammatory disease, which requires active treatment to prevent the inflammation from worsening and the accumulation of fluid from increasing.
2. Uterine fluid accumulation can cause pelvic inflammation: Most uterine fluid accumulations are caused by inflammation, namely chronic pelvic inflammatory exudation. A minority are caused by ruptured ectopic pregnancy, ruptured corpus luteum, pelvic abscess, chocolate cysts, and ovarian cancer. For fluid accumulation caused by pelvic inflammation, it is best to perform a posterior fornix puncture examination to determine the nature of the fluid.
3. Uterine fluid accumulation affects fertility: If there are chronic infectious lesions, they may be inflammations of the gynecological system such as the ovaries and fallopian tubes, or may be caused by tuberculosis or tumors. This can easily lead to pelvic adhesion, tubal obstruction, etc., and long-term delays can affect fertility.
