What Causes Female Urinary Tract Infections?
Urinary tract infections in females may be related to physiological structure, diet, or lifestyle habits. If you have a urinary tract infection, it is recommended to promptly visit the hospital for examination, follow the doctor's advice, avoid self-diagnosis and treatment, and avoid delaying the best treatment time.
1. Physiological Structure: The urethral orifice of a normal female is close to the vaginal orifice. If hygiene is neglected, it may also lead to urinary tract infections. There is a protective mucin in the normal urethra. Overcleaning can lead to flora disturbance. It is recommended to clean before and after sexual activity and to clean once every 3-5 days on average.
2. Dietary Structure: Spicy and stimulating foods such as onions, ginger, garlic, and peppers, as well as beverages with high sugar content, can irritate the urethra and cause urinary tract infections. Drinking too little water can also cause urinary tract infections. Urine can flush the urethra, so it is recommended to drink plenty of water regularly to prevent urinary tract infections.
3. Lifestyle Habits: Staying up late, fatigue, prolonged sitting, and long hours of driving are factors that not only lead to decreased immunity in females but also allow pathogenic bacteria to invade the urinary tract and cause infections.
