Which Should Be Supplemented First, Qi or Blood?
Generally, the decision on which to supplement first between qi and blood needs to be analyzed according to one's own condition, and it is usually not possible to generalize.

1. Supplementing Qi
If a patient has qi deficiency, they will usually experience symptoms such as lethargy, fatigue, and other discomforts, but without symptoms such as dizziness and palpitations caused by anemia. In this case, qi-supplementing treatment should be carried out under the guidance of a professional doctor. Medications such as Buzhong Yiqi Wan (Pill for Tonifying the Middle and Replenishing Qi), Sijunzi Wan (Four Gentlemen Pill), and Shenling Baishu San (Powder of Ginseng, Poria, Atractylodes, and Coicis) can be taken to achieve the purpose of supplementing qi.
2. Supplementing Blood
If a patient has blood deficiency, it may lead to excessive weakness in the body, causing anemia. The patient is prone to symptoms such as generalized weakness, dizziness, and palpitations. In this case, blood-supplementing treatment is needed, and medications such as Lvjiao Buxue Keli (Donkey-Hide Glue Blood-Tonifying Granules), Yiqi Yangxue Koufuye (Oral Liquid for Tonifying Qi and Nourishing Blood), and Qianggu Shengxue Koufuye (Oral Liquid for Strengthening Bones and Generating Blood) can be taken under the guidance of a professional doctor to relieve the discomfort caused by anemia.
In daily life, patients are advised to rest more, avoid excessive fatigue, and consume appropriate amounts of high-quality protein foods such as milk, eggs, and lean meat, which can supplement the body's nutritional needs and prevent qi and blood deficiency. If the condition continues to worsen, it is necessary to seek treatment at a formal hospital promptly.
