How to Use an Ovulation Test Kit?
Knowing one's ovulation period can not only increase the chance of conception but also effectively take contraceptive measures during ovulation to prevent accidental pregnancy. There are many methods to detect whether one is in the ovulation period, and ovulation test paper is a common one. However, if the ovulation test paper cannot be used correctly, it will affect the test results, so it is important to understand the usage of ovulation test paper. How to use ovulation test paper?
For women with regular menstrual cycles, ovulation usually occurs around 14 days before the next menstrual cycle begins. Therefore, the fertile period is generally 2-3 days before ovulation and 1-2 days after ovulation, which is the stage that requires continuous monitoring using ovulation test paper for 5 days.
The best time for testing is from 10 am to 8 pm every day, using urine from approximately the same time. The first morning urine is not recommended because it has accumulated overnight and the LH value in the urine may not represent the actual value. Additionally, avoid drinking excessive water within 2 hours before testing to prevent dilution of luteinizing hormone in the urine, which may affect the test results.
Strictly follow the instructions when using the ovulation test paper and read the results within the specified time. Results read after the specified time will be invalid.
After testing, it is recommended to keep the test paper or pen for comparison with future tests or to record the test results in detail until the LH peak is detected.
