The Hazards of Anal Fistula
The dangers of anal fistula include sepsis contamination and anemia promotion, among others.
Hazard 1: Sepsis Contamination Once an anal fistula forms, purulent secretions will be discharged externally. If physical activity intensifies, the issue will worsen. Firstly, it contaminates underwear, and secondly, it infects the skin. Through friction and irritation, itching and pain follow suit. This can lead to the collapse of work and study, as well as physical and mental decline.
Hazard 2: Anemia Promotion Bleeding from an anal fistula is similar to bleeding from hemorrhoids. Short-term bleeding is generally not a serious issue, but if bleeding is excessive or lasts for too long, iron elements in the body will continue to be lost. Over time, anemia will naturally occur.
