Tinidazole Sodium Chloride is mainly used to treat anaerobic bacterial infections caused by various reasons, such as stomatitis, peritonitis, pelvic inflammatory disease, perianal abscess, and other diseases. If anaerobic bacterial infection occurs, this medication can be used for treatment. Tinidazole is widely used in various anaerobic bacterial infections, including pelvic inflammatory disease, peritonitis, stomatitis, perianal abscess, pseudomembranous colitis, ulcerative gingivitis, and diabetic gangrene. It is also used for preventing postoperative infections, such as infections after colon and rectum surgery, such as septicemia; various anaerobic bacterial infections after gastrointestinal surgery and gynecological surgery.
1. Anaerobic bacterial infection: 0.8g once, once a day, intravenous drip slowly, usually for 5-6 days, or determined according to the condition.
2. Prevention of postoperative anaerobic bacterial infection: total dose of 1.6g, administered as 1 or 2 infusions, with the first infusion given 2-4 hours before surgery and the second infusion given during surgery or within 12-24 hours after surgery.
Adverse reactions are rare and mild, mainly including nausea, vomiting, upper abdominal pain, decreased appetite, metallic taste in the mouth, headache, dizziness, skin itching, rash, constipation, and general discomfort. In addition, there may also be angioneurotic edema, neutropenia, disulfiram-like reaction, and dark urine. Occasionally, mild phlebitis may occur at the infusion site. High doses may also cause seizures and peripheral neuropathy.
