Why cant PD-1 cure cancer?
PD1 cannot cure cancer because it does not directly kill cancer cells. Its main purpose is to activate the human immune system, thereby achieving an anti-cancer effect. It can improve the survival rate of cancer patients. However, during treatment, due to individual differences, some patients achieve good results while others do not.
1. Cancer is incurable.
Although PD1 antibody drugs can block the rapid development of cancer cells, thus maintaining the efficient attack of immune cells on cancer cells, the reason why cancer cells can develop so rapidly in the patient's body is mainly because they can avoid the attack of lymphatic immune cells and develop rapidly. PD1 can only inhibit the development of cancer cells but cannot cure them.
