Could These Be Early Symptoms of Leukemia?
Generally, symptoms such as fatigue and fever may indicate early stages of leukemia. However, these manifestations alone cannot confirm a diagnosis of leukemia.
Symptoms:
- Fatigue: Due to abnormal bone marrow hematopoiesis, patients experience a decrease in red blood cells, leading to anemia. Clinically, this manifests as weakness, discomfort, and other symptoms of malaise.
- Fever: Some patients may experience fever reaching 39℃-40℃ or higher, with a prolonged duration, often lasting for around two weeks or even longer without subsiding. This is accompanied by chills or sweating, necessitating prompt medical examination and treatment.
- Other Conditions: The occurrence of skin bleeding points, continuous nasal bleeding, and swollen, painful gums may also suggest a higher possibility of leukemia. Additionally, there may be a series of adverse reactions including swollen lymph nodes, enlarged liver and spleen, bone and joint pain, oral ulcers, and weight loss.
Patients are advised to rest adequately, avoid overexertion, ensure sufficient sleep quality, and minimize late nights to facilitate recovery. A diet rich in high-protein foods like eggs, milk, or lean meat can supplement nutrients, while fresh fruits and vegetables can promote intestinal motility and aid digestion. If these symptoms worsen, immediate medical attention is required for relevant examinations and targeted treatment.
