How to Obtain Medical Assistance for Severe Conditions?
It is well known that there are many insurance policies in China. After starting to work, the employer will arrange relevant insurance for employees, among which critical illness insurance is a highly concerned one. This insurance mainly targets some serious diseases. Once an insured person is diagnosed with these serious diseases, they can go to the local medical insurance bureau to handle the insurance according to relevant regulations. This insurance is very important for everyone.
Step 1: Take the required documents to the local medical insurance bureau and go to the critical illness application window. After explaining the situation to the staff, they will issue three identical critical illness application forms and explain the application steps.
Step 2: Attach three prepared 2-inch photos to the application form, fill in some basic information, the type of illness applied for, and the hospital where the treatment will be sought (note: write the hospital where you will continue to receive medication).
Step 3: Take the application form to the designated hospital specified by the staff for disease diagnosis. After arriving at the hospital, you can inquire about the process for handling critical illness insurance from the nurses (the process may vary slightly in different hospitals, but the general process should be similar).
3.1 First, register and then find the designated doctor to sign (at this time, the medical record is needed. The doctor will review the medical record and fill in the content on the application form. Note that all three forms need to be filled in).
3.2 After signing, go to the designated location in the hospital to stamp the hospital seal.
3.3 Go to the medical insurance office of the hospital to stamp. After stamping, the medical insurance office will keep a copy of the critical illness application form.
Step 4: Return to the medical insurance bureau. The medical insurance staff will fill in a critical illness book based on the application form and give it to you after completion. That is the proof of critical illness insurance. Additionally, the medical insurance bureau will keep a copy of the critical illness application form.
Step 5: After obtaining the critical illness book, attach the previously prepared 1-inch photo.
Step 6: Submit the remaining critical illness application forms to the medical insurance office of the hospital where you will seek treatment (you do not need to submit them immediately; you can submit them when you visit the hospital).
