Zuogui Pill has certain therapeutic effects on spontaneous sweating, night sweating, physical weakness, or kidney deficiency. Zuogui Pill is composed of the following ingredients: 24g of large ripe Shudi, 12g of fried yam, 12g of wolfberry, 12g of dogwood fruit, 9g of steamed and washed Sichuan cyathula root (not used for those with spermatorrhea), 12g of prepared cuscuta seed, 12g of broken and fried deer glue, and 12g of broken and fried turtle glue (not necessary for those without fire symptoms).
Zuogui Pill contains many ingredients that are yin-nourishing and greasy, which can easily stagnate the spleen and stomach. Therefore, it should be used with caution in individuals with spleen deficiency or loose stool. Long-term use should be accompanied by the use of herbs that promote spleen function and digestion.
