What Are the Dietary Therapies for Helicobacter Pylori?
Helicobacter pylori is currently the only bacterium that can parasitize in our stomach. After being infected with Helicobacter pylori, patients should not only actively seek treatment but also adjust their diet. They should avoid eating too much or being frequently hungry, chew their food slowly, and avoid consuming raw, cold, spicy, acidic, greasy, smoked, and fried foods. Here are some dietary therapy methods and suitable foods for Helicobacter pylori patients.
1. Develop good hygiene habits, wash hands before eating and after using the toilet, wash vegetables and fruits thoroughly, and eat cooked food as much as possible. Avoid eating half-cooked foods such as steaks.
2. Prevent disease transmission through the mouth, avoid eating unclean or spoiled food. Foods stored in the refrigerator should not be kept for too long to prevent bacterial infection. Additionally, raw and cooked foods should be kept separate to avoid cross-contamination.
3. Consume soft and easily digestible foods. Avoid smoked, pickled, spicy, acidic, greasy, and stimulating foods.
1. Drinking honey can effectively suppress Helicobacter pylori. It is best to consume honey after meals for better results. Mix about 30ml of honey with warm water, stir well, and drink slowly.
2. Cabbage can kill Helicobacter pylori and other bacteria that cause diseases, similar to antibiotics. Drinking cabbage juice regularly can alleviate symptoms of gastric ulcer and promote healing.
3. Eating fresh garlic can inhibit Helicobacter pylori. Regular consumption of garlic can reduce the risk of stomach cancer as it reduces nitrite levels in the stomach, which is carcinogenic.
4. Drinking tea brewed with cold water can kill Helicobacter pylori without causing harm to gastric ulcer patients. Caffeine in tea brewed with hot water can be detrimental to gastric ulcer patients.
5. Eating a small handful of raw peanuts on an empty stomach can reduce gastric acid secretion and indirectly inhibit Helicobacter pylori infection. It can also help treat gastric ulcer in some cases.
